It is with great pleasure that we announce the Caribbean Media Awards. These accolades will honor the best placements and photography from US- and Caribbean-based media outlets that created a buzz for the region. Submissions will be accepted from CTO Governments representatives, public relations partners and members of the media. The awards which celebrate writers’ work and dedication to promote the Caribbean will be presented in the following categories:

MEDIA AWARD CRITERIA:

• 
  Submissions by Caribbean and US-based media who contribute to media outlets in the U.S. and Caribbean will be accepted


• 
  Minimum circulation for newspaper and magazine entries is 10,000


• 
  Publication of the work must have been in the 2010 calendar year (January 1 – December 31, 2010)


• 
  Maximum of one entry per person, per award category


• 
  All entries must be submitted by Thursday, March 31


• 
  Media submissions should showcase creativity and thoughtful knowledge of the Caribbean region with a provocative story


• 
  Award recipient agrees to allow his/her winning work(s) to be published in part or in whole on www.CaribbeanTravel.com, www.OneCaribbean.org and www.CaribbeanWeekNY.com.


• 
  The winner also agrees to allow his/her photograph to be taken and utilized for publicity purposes.


• 
  Awards will be presented during Caribbean Week New York on June 9 at the Caribbean Media Awards Luncheon.

  Nominations by CTO Government Members and qualified media will be accepted

  No fee is required to submit
